This article is helpful for users who are having issues while attempting to log in to their profile and system is returning with network error message. Generally this issue presents on Comcast Xfinity and Spectrum ISP customers.
- Power ON your screen and log in to the Guest profile
- Access Settings Menu (cog icon on bottom left corner)
- Access System Settings
- Access Network & Internet
- Access Wi-Fi
- Click on the settings button (cog) at related saved network you need to perform the changes into
- Click on Advanced drop-down to expand existing network details
- Scroll down and take note of IP Address and Gateway
- Scroll up and click on the edit button (pencil)
- Slightly scroll down and open Advanced options
- Scroll down and change IP Settings from DHCP to Static
- Fill-in fields as follows:
- IP Address: Input information previously acquired
- Gateway: Input information previously acquired
- Network prefix length: System will auto-fill
- DNS 1: System will auto-fill with 8.8.8.8, if not, please input this information
- DNS 2: Input 8.8.4.4
OBS.: Please note that any input information gets a white font. If you see information in greyish font, it means that field is empty. Make sure all fields contains white font information
- Click on Save
- Restart your screen
